South Africa - MICE tour with Abbott Healthcare May 2013

In May 2013, I bagged the business from Abbott for their South Africa tour,

whilst being employed with ITH (ITC group) as Sales Manager. This was my third business with them as I had bagged their MICE groups to Istanbul and Tashkent groups in preceding employed companies, but had not travelled with them

In this South Africa tour, We started with our stay at the Kagga Kama Reserve - 300 km from Cape Town- Situated amidst the wilderness of Cederberg mountains,

The journey was through Ceres orchards and the Savannas, what a lovely sight !

With stay in the Cave suites and Thatched hut Rondavel on Day 1

At night we had the bush dinner

As the number of rooms were just sufficient for the group, I was staying in a large Chalet located further into the wilderness, which was normally used for their RCI guests, to which the Dutch safari guides took me . As I was in such isolated surrounding of mountainous and large stretched surrounding they chose to give me company in the patio of the chalet till I was sleepy,

The stars were just a touch away in the sky as Cape town is famous for, as I sat up with the Safari guides chatting at night,

However soon there was company of a pair of eyes peering through the bushes, to which the guides said it was 'just a fox' ..phew... common for them but not for me, I preferred to slip into my bed after all this adventure

Took the Game drive in the wilderness, though we didnt spot any animal other than an

ostrich in the far away distance

Day 2 we departed to Cape town

Took the cable car ride to the Table mountain

One of the group member was absconding for 2 hours at the top of the mountain while all had boarded the bus to depart to hotel, putting the entire group in frenzy and missing the Cape of Good Hope point

Day 3 we took the haut bay Cruise through the island with the seals,

Then the Penguin colony, Boulder's beach -- with the small penguins running around on the sea side

spent some time at the Fish hoek beach at Cape South Peninsula

Day 4 & 5 was at Sun City -- We spent time at the hotel's Casino, enjoyed the different activities available. Took the game drive at the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, this time sighted the animals as they were in boundaries of the Reserve,

Day 6 was The last day to depart to Johannesberg with 3 hour drive to the airport to return to India
